All dance and gymnastics classes (except for adult students) have a dress code. This includes a class-colored leotard, tights or jazz pants, and shoe requirement to wear to their classes. These class-colored items will be used as the basis for most of our Christmas show costumes and some of the end-of-the-year recital costumes too. The last class of each month is an "open dance wear day" and students may wear any color and style of dance clothes they like.
Please do not buy dance wear and shoes until you find out the requirements for your particular class!
Here is an example of required dance wear:
Ballet- Class-colored leotard and Tights (see teacher for color) and pink ballet shoes.
Tap- Black jazz pants, Tee-Shirt or class-colored leotard and black tap shoes.
Jazz- Black jazz pants and Tee-Shirt or class-colored leotard. See teacher for shoe requirement.
Hip Hop- Loose Pants (NO JEANS), Tee-Shirt and black hip hop sneakers.
All other classes- Please see teacher.
For your convenience, our shoe and dance wear requirements are available at each of our studios. We offer an extensive line of dance wear at a student discount of 8-12%, depending on the item.
