We are looking forward to providing a fun academic Pre-School program with
an active dance program. As you know Deborah's dance studio has been located
here for many years. Now we have the chance to offer a pre-school component
2 days a week for our aspiring young dancers.
In school we will review a lot of basic Pre-K skills. Our activities and book
selections will be based on weekly themes. Each week we will present a letter
of the alphabet. A wide variety of projects will keep the class involved and
busy. Our daily schedule looks something like this:
9:30 While students are arriving there will be an activity at the table or
students may choose to look at library books on the carpet.

9:40 We begin our day with a "Morning Meeting" on the carpet. Each
student will have a job. After the jobs have been completed, the featured
story book read, and the days activities have been presented, we wash our
hands and have snack at the table.

10:15 Each student is ask to bring in a small snack.

10:30 - 12 The rest of our busy morning students can choose to play in the
areas of the room. A housekeeping area, fine motor manipulative area , and art
supplies are always available. The teacher is able to work at the table with a
small group of 2 or 3 students at time on various projects.

12 - 12:30 We clean up our classroom and end the morning with music or a
story on the carpet.
~
12:30 students are dismissed to parents.
